We recently made our home in Seattle in order to be near our children and grandchildren. Over the years, we have lived in New York, New England, and Southeast Asia. In each of these places, the Jewish community has always meant that we have had others with whom we could share life cycle events, holidays, history, heritage, and friendship. In Seattle we were warmly welcomed by and are now very involved in the Temple Beth Am community. Jews share certain values such as lovingkindness, charity, social justice, welcoming the stranger, and reaching out to those in need. These values are the foundation of our involvement in community wherever we have lived.
