As a Jew, it’s ingrained in you to try to improve your community, and my Judaism has been integral to the work I’ve done in my career. My father survived Auschwitz, and my mother’s family came to the United States as refugees from Nazi Germany. My family history and immigrant experience impacted my career choices. I first served as a government prosecutor and then for 15 years as a partner at Hagens Berman representing whistle-blowers. I view my work as an opportunity to fight for people who don’t have a voice in the system. So many Jewish stories highlight leveling the playing field between the powerful and the rest of us. I’m proud to continue that tradition.
