Being a Jew is a great responsibility toward my people, because of our history, tradition, and values that have evolved toward a beautiful, colorful mix of cultural diversity and thought. However, it’s also a responsibility with the world to make it a better place through tikkun olam. I try my best to improve my neighborhood and my community, with concise steps that go toward the root of the issues that most affect them. Despite being more comfortable to let someone else do the work, as Jews we work toward fixing the world with brains over brawn.
